Who Should Attend:

This workshop is funded and tailored specifically for community and technical college faculty members wishing to expand their knowledge, earn an industry certification, and strengthen their ability to incorporate new cybersecurity content in their community college curriculum. This workshop is not intended for students or other non-faculty participants.

About the Workshop: 

Take the first step toward a successful cybersecurity career with CompTIA Security+ certification training. This workshop is designed to equip IT professionals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to perform core security functions and excel in cybersecurity roles. CompTIA Security+ is a globally recognized, vendor-neutral certification that validates foundational security expertise and serves as a gateway to intermediate-level IT security jobs.

Through hands-on troubleshooting and real-world applications, this workshop prepares participants to assess enterprise security, implement effective solutions, and respond to security incidents across hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT. Join us to gain practical skills and a solid foundation in governance, risk, and compliance. 

Workshop Highlights:

  • Comprehensive training to earn the globally recognized CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting exercises to build practical cybersecurity problem-solving skills.
  • Learn to assess and secure enterprise environments with best practices.
  • Understand and apply principles of governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Develop the skills to identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents. 

Workshop participants are expected to actively engage in the workshop by participating in the hands-on activities and interactive discussions.

To be eligible for future funding from NCyTE, you must also complete the follow-up survey which you will receive in approximately 6 months following this training.
